NOTE: The smart junction box (SJB) is also known as the generic electronic module (GEM).
Normal Operation
The MS-CAN uses an unshielded twisted pair cable, circuits 1847 (WH/OG) and 1848 (PK/OG). The smart junction box (SJB) and the instrument
cluster (IC) communicate with the scan tool using the MS-CAN.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
