Drill out a 9/16 diameter hole at this point and cut the piece out between the hole and the top edge (Figure 3).

Install the gimp to the inside edge of the slot (heat the gimp, if necessary, to make it pliable), and position the garnish moulding to the latch
assembly. If adjustments are necessary, remove the gimp and file the slots in the garnish.

13.

Install the latch pin guide plate onto the hatch assembly in the location marked before removal.

14.

Install the garnish moulding to the hatch and reinstall the hatch on the vehicle.
