7. Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from the EGR valve and remove the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube into EGR valve and loosely connect EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube nut to EGR valve.

NOTE:  Do not tighten EGR valve exhaust manifold tube nut on EGR valve at this time.

2. Raise the vehicle.

NOTE:  Hold EGR valve tube to manifold connector with a wrench while tightening EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube nut.

3. Connect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube to EGR valve tube to manifold connector. Tighten nut to 35-45 Nm (26-33 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Tighten EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube nut to the EGR valve to 35-45 Nm (26-33 lb ft).
6. Install EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube heat shield. Tighten retaining nuts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
7. Connect EGR backpressure transducer hoses to the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.
