Antenna: Service and Repair
Base and Cable, Fixed Antenna

REMOVAL

1. Remove radio chassis. 
2. Remove the RH cowl side trim panel. 
3. Remove antenna pushpins retaining antenna lead to A/C evaporator housing and A/C recirculating air duct. Disconnect antenna from rear of radio

chassis.

4. Remove the radio antenna base cap and antenna base and cable retaining screws. Pull the cable through the holes in the door hinge pillar and front

fender. Remove the radio antenna base and cable as an assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. With the RH front door open, position the radio antenna base and cable as an assembly in the front fender opening. Place the gasket in position

and install the antenna base to the front fender with three retaining screws. Tighten screws to 0.9-1.3 N.m (8-11 lb-in).

2. Pull the radio antenna lead in cable through the door hinge pillar opening. Seat the grommet by pulling the cable through the hole from inside the

vehicle.

3. Route the radio antenna lead in cable behind the A/C evaporator housing and A/C recirculating air duct and retain with pushpins. Connect to rear

of radio chassis.

4. Install the cowl side trim panel. 
5. Install radio chassis.
