Disc Brake Caliper-Cobra Internal Components
DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the front disc brake caliper assembly and brake shoe and lining from the vehicle as described.
NOTE: Place a cloth over the caliper piston before applying air pressure to prevent damage to the caliper piston.
WARNING: USE ONLY AS MUCH COMPRESSED AIR AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE PISTON. EXCESSIVE PRESSURE
CAN FORCE THE PISTON OUT OF THE BORE WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. NEVER ATTEMPT
TO CATCH THE PISTON BY HAND AS IT COMES OUT OF THE BORE.
2. Place a wood block into caliper to stop and cushion piston.
