Coolant: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
NOTE: A low engine coolant level in the cooling system can cause poor heater and defroster performance. (Any level below the radiator filler
neck is considered low.) If this condition exists, perform the coolant fill procedure.
1. Check engine coolant level at least once a month.
2. With a cold engine, the engine coolant level must be maintained at or above the FULL COLD mark.
3. At normal engine operating temperature, the engine coolant level should be at the FULL HOT mark.
4. If engine coolant level in the degas bottle is less than the above indicated levels, perform the coolant fill procedure.
