Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
NOTE:
-
Whenever an A/C evaporator core is replaced, it will be necessary to replace the suction accumulator/drier.
-
Before an A/C evaporator core is replaced, it must be leak-tested in the vehicle to verify that it is leaking. If it is necessary to replace an evaporator
core, the new core is serviced with a service replacement A/C evaporator case which has the new core. It will be necessary to transfer all vacuum
control motors, heater core, A/C vacuum reservoir tank and bracket, heater blower motor switch resistor, blower motor, vacuum lines and air ducts
from the old A/C evaporator case to the service replacement A/C evaporator case.
