A/C Discharge Hose/Line

REMOVAL
1. Recover refrigerant from A/C system. Observe all safety procedures. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair/Discharging and
Recovery
2. Remove A/C pressure cut-off switch.
3. Disconnect A/C compressor to condenser discharge line using Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool T83P-19623-G2 at the A/C condenser core.
Cap the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line and A/C condenser core to prevent the entrance of dirt and moisture.
4. Disconnect A/C compressor to condenser discharge line using Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool T81P-19623-G2 at the A/C manifold and
tube. Cap the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line and A/C manifold and tube to prevent the entrance of dirt and moisture.
5. Remove nut retaining discharge line support bracket to vehicle.
6. Remove A/C compressor to condenser discharge line and bracket from vehicle.
7. Remove discharge line support bracket from A/C compressor to condenser discharge line.
INSTALLATION
1. Install discharge line support bracket on A/C compressor to condenser discharge line.
2. Route new A/C compressor to condenser discharge line with protective caps installed.
3. Remove protective caps and connect new A/C compressor to condenser discharge line into system using new O-ring seals lubricated with clean
Motorcraft YN-12b refrigerant oil or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. Connect spring lock coupling.
4. Install discharge line support bracket to vehicle.
5. Install A/C pressure cut-off switch.
6. Leak-test, evacuate and charge the system. Observe all safety precautions. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair
