Steering Gear: Testing and Inspection
Insulators
The power rack and pinion steering gear is installed onto the cowl panel with steering gear insulators. The power rack and pinion steering gear
may move slightly when the steering gear is turned. If movement is more than 1.5 mm (0.060 inch) replace the steering gear insulators. If
movement of the mounting bracket is evident check the torque of the retaining bolts.
