Bell Housing: Service and Repair
NOTE: The following procedure should be performed only when necessary. After carefully inspecting each subassembly, disassemble only those
requiring component replacement or further inspection.
DISASSEMBLY
1. Using Seal Remover TOOL-1175-AC or equivalent, remove input shaft bearing outer race and shim from transmission case side of flywheel
housing.
2. Using Seal Remover, remove oil seal from transmission case side of flywheel housing.
3. Using Seal Remover, remove countershaft front bearing cup and shim from flywheel housing.
