REMOVAL
1. Discharge the A/C system into a proper recovery system.
2. Use an appropriate spring lock coupling disconnect tool to disconnect the condenser to evaporator spring lock coupling from the A/C evaporator
core outlet hardline (near the bulkhead).
3. Use an appropriate spring lock coupling disconnect tool to disconnect the condenser to evaporator tube spring lock coupling from the liquid line
extension.
4. Remove the condenser to evaporator tube hold down bracket bolt.
5. Remove the condenser to evaporator tube.
6. Use Fixed Orifice Tube Remover/Replacer T83L-19990-A to remove A/C evaporator core orifice from the condenser to evaporator tube.
INSTALLATION
1. Use Fixed Orifice Tube Remover/Replacer T83L-19990-A to install the A/C evaporator core orifice into the condenser to evaporator tube.
2. Install the condenser to evaporator tube.
3. Using new O-rings lubricated with clean Motorcraft Refrigerant Oil YN-12b or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B, connect
both spring lock couplings.
4. Leak test, evacuate and recharge the A/C system. See: Service and Repair
