Emissions Recall 91E08 Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Processor Replacement on Certain 1990-Model Probes
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1990-model 49-States and Canadian Probes equipped
with 3.0L engines having calibration code 0-10B-R00 and automatic transmissions.
REASONS FOR RECALL
A Ford in-house compliance test program has
revealed that engines in some of the affected cars may be releasing levels of carbon monoxide (CO) that exceed Federal
and Canadian exhaust emission standards.
SERVICE ACTION
Probes returned for service will have the electronic
engine control (EEC) processor replaced and Authorized Modifications and Special Service Information decals attached.

DEALER-OWNER
Immediately contact any owner you know of whose name

is not on the list. Give the owner a copy of the Owner
Letter.
DISTRICT
Advise FPSD district office if:
CONTACT
- an owner cannot be contacted.
- an owner does not make a service date.
FPSD CONTACT
Talk with your FPSD Service Zone Manager about recall
concerns.
REIMBURSEMENT
Claim Form 1864 will no longer be mailed to owners.
Submit claims using tbe 1864 format on the DWE screen. (Refer to your Warranty and Policy Manual Section 6.3 pages
5-8). Use an original repair order for your service record file.
