| Description and Operation Engine/Transmission Variants Since its introduction into the market place the Puma has been equipped with the new 1,7L Zetec-S-VCT engine (92 kW/125 PS) and since MY '98½ with the 1.4L Zetec-SE engine (66 kW/90 PS) already familiar in Europe, in both cases in combination with the iB5 manual transmission. Both engines comply with the 96 EEC emissions standard and with all other requirements made on new generation assemblies with regard to fuel consumption, quiet running, flexibility and power output. |
