Glass, Frames and Mechanisms - Door Window Glass Adjustment Puma 1998 (06/1997-12/2001)
General Procedures

Adjustment

  1. Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.
    Detach the door panel watershield.
    • Using a plastic knife (disposable cutlery), cut through the Butyl strip to enable the watershield to be peeled back.

  1. Connect the window operating switch electrical connector.

  1. Loosen the window glass clamp retaining screws.
    • Align the retaining screws with the access hole.

  1. Make sure the glass is inside the door frame outer seal.
  1. Lower the glass to the bottom.

  1. Standing inside the door, apply rearward hand pressure on the outside of the window glass, at the same time raising the glass to its fully closed position.

  1. Tighten the window glass clamp retaining screws.
  1. Attach the door panel watershield.
  1. Install the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.
