Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not touch the adhesive surface as rebonding will be impaired.
    Peel back the door watershield.

  1. Connect the window switch.
  1. Connect the battery ground cable.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Lower the glass, till it is a quarter up, to gain access to the glass clamp bolts.
    Remove the glass clamp bolts.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Do not remove the door glass weatherstrip from under the door mirror base.
    Loosen the outer door glass weatherstrip.

  1. Remove the glass.
    1. Lift the glass.
    1. Tip the glass forwards and remove the glass from the front door.

Installation
  1. Install the glass.
    1. Tip the glass forwards and install the glass into the front door.
    1. Lower the glass.
  1. Adjust the glass. For additional information, refer to the General Procedures in this section.

  1. Install the door glass weatherstrip.
  1. Install the door watershield.
  1. Install the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.
