1. 

   NOTE:One adaptor from each of the kits is used on this procedure.
   Remove the strut and spring assembly.
   For additional information, refer to: Strut and Spring Assembly (204-01, Removal and Installation).
   

2. 

   WARNING:As the spring is under extreme tension care must be taken at all times. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
   Using the special tool, compress the spring.

3. Disassemble the strut and spring assembly
   1. Remove the thrust bearing nut.
   2. Remove the thrust bearing.
   3. Remove the upper spring seat.
   4. Remove the spring.
   5. Remove the bump stop.
   6. Remove the dust cover.

   NOTE:Make sure that the spring ends butt correctly against the upper and lower spring seats.
   To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
