Ranger 2WD L4-153 2.5L SOHC VIN C SFI (1998)
7. Remove the rear engine lifting eye.

Remove the nuts.

Remove the eye.
8. Remove the exhaust manifold.
-
Remove two studs and six bolts.
-
Remove the exhaust manifold.
-
Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket.
INSTALLATION
1. Clean the gasket surfaces on the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head.
2. Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.
3. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
4. Tighten the six bolts and two studs in sequence in two stages.

Stage 1: Tighten to 20-23 Nm (15-16 ft lb).

Stage 2: Tighten to 60-80 Nm (45-59 ft lb).
