Front Drive Axle - Lube Blow-Out

AXLE - FRONT DRIVE - LUBE BLOW-OUT (OVERFILL)
LIGHT TRUCKS 1983/84 RANGER (4x4), BRONCO II
Lubricant blow-out can be caused by overfilling the axle with lubricant.
The following procedure should be followed to verify the lube level:

On vehicles built with front drive axles E37A-3002-(All suffixes) check to see if the lube level is 1/2" +/- 1/8" below the bottom of the fill hole
(fill hole is located on centerline of axle arm.)
If the lube is below this 1/2" +/- 1/8", add as required/also if over this level remove as required.

On vehicles built with front drive axles E47A-3002-(All Suffixes) check to see if the lube level is at or not more than 1/8" below the bottom of the
fill hole (fill hole is located below centerline of axle arm).
If the lube is below this level, add as required.
