Clutch Release Bearing: Service and Repair
Clutch Slave Cylinder
Removal
1. Remove transmission.
2. TWIST the release bearing and carrier assembly until resistance is felt. Turning the assembly further will allow the preload spring to push the
bearing assembly off the slave cylinder.
Installation
NOTE: Prior to installation, lubricate the bore of the bearing and bearing carrier with Premium Long-Life Grease or equivalent.
CAUTION: DO NOT use Petroleum base lubricants.
1. Install the release bearing assembly to the clutch slave cylinder by pushing into place.
2. Install transmission.
