Camshaft: Description and Operation
The camshaft is installed in the cylinder block:
- The camshaft is supported on four bearing inserts.
- Thrust loads and end play are limited by a camshaft thrust plate.
- The synchronizer drive gear, located at the rear of the camshaft is part of the casting.
