5. Remove the second oil control ring.

6. Use a suitable piston pin tool to press the piston pin out of the piston connecting rod assembly.

NOTE:  Take note of piston connecting rod assembly and mark the connecting rod and the piston to ensure proper orientation during reassembly.

7. Remove the connecting rod from the piston.
8. Clean and inspect the connecting rod and the piston.

ASSEMBLY 

1. Lubricate the piston pin and piston pin bore.

Use Super Premium SAE 5W30 Motor Oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G.

2. Use a suitable piston pin tool to press the piston pin into the piston and the connecting rod.
