LIGHT TRUCK:
1998 RANGER
ISSUE:
The A/C suction hose may rub on the upper radiator hose. This may result in either an engine coolant leak and/or an A/C refrigerant leak.
ACTION:
Install a protective sleeve over the upper radiator hose where the A/C suction line is contacting the upper hose. This should reduce the possibility of
damage to either of the hoses. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Obtain A/C Suction Hose Sleeve (F68Z-19K459-AA) and Upper Radiator Hose Sleeve (F68Z-18K459-EA). Using a knife, cut/slice both sleeves
lengthwise. This will allow the sleeves to be attached to both A/C hose and radiator hose.
