5. Remove and inspect the No. 2 overdrive planetary thrust bearing on the nose of the overdrive planetary gear carrier assembly.

6. Remove the overdrive sun gear.

1. Remove the coast clutch to overdrive carrier adapter.
2. Remove the overdrive sun gear.

NOTE: 
-

Note the location of the part number stamped on the overdrive clutch adapter for assembly.

Inspect the overdrive sun gear for damaged or worn teeth.

7. Inspect the No. 12 bearing for damage.

ASSEMBLY 

1. Install the No. 2 overdrive planetary thrust bearing.
