Individual oil pump components are not serviced. If any part of the pump requires replacement, the entire pump assembly must be replaced.
1.
Inspect inside of pump housing, outer race and rotor for excessive wear or scoring.
2.
Inspect pump cover mating surface for excessive wear or scoring.
3.
Measure inner rotor tip clearance, Fig. 12.
4.
Measure rotor endplay, Fig. 13, which should be .0016---.0039 inch and must not exceed .0060 inch.
5.
Measure driveshaft to bearing clearance, which must not exceed .0039 inch.
6.
Inspect relief valve piston for scores and ensure its free operation in bore.
