Sample Letter Information
Mr. John Sample 123 Main Street Anywhere, US 12345
Ford Motor Company is offering a no-charge Service Program B83, for the truck described below:
Vehicle Description:
Serial Number:
Reason For This Program
Your truck may have been built with an incorrect push rod in the hydraulic clutch control assembly.
What Might Happen
An incorrect push rod will not permit the clutch interlock switch to function properly. This may allow the speed control to function improperly, affect the
engine idle speed quality and allow the engine to be started with only partial depression of the clutch pedal.
Your Dealer Will
Inspect your truck and, if necessary, replace the hydraulic clutch control master cylinder assembly at no-charge to you.
This Service Program covers your truck for 12 months from the in-service date or 12,000 miles of operation, whichever comes first.
What You Should Do
Contact your Ford dealer as soon as possible. (Ford dealers have been notified of this service program and can assist you as necessary).
Enclosed is the Ford Customer Information Service announcement. This system provides information on technical service bulletins and Ford-paid
programs such as the program described in this letter.
