Clutch Pedal Position Switch: Description and Operation
OPERATION
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) sends out a 5 volt reference to the Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch. When the switch is "OPEN"
(clutch DEPRESSED), the PCM senses voltage. When the switch is "CLOSED" (clutch RELEASED), the PCM senses no voltage. The PCM
uses this input to determine engine load and to adjust idle speed accordingly.
