Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. At the frame mounting point of the LH front brake hose (2078), disconnect the two front brake tube fittings.
3. At the frame mounting point, remove the front brake hose mounting clip.
4. At the front disc brake caliper, remove the front disc brake caliper flow bolt. Discard the copper washers.
5. Remove the front brake hose bolt securing the front brake hose to the front disc brake caliper.
6. Remove the front brake hose from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure, noting the following:

Use new copper washers and tighten the front disc brake caliper flow bolt to 29.7-40.3 Nm (22-29 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the front brake hose bolt to 3.4-4.5 Nm (30-39 inch lbs.).

Tighten the two front brake tube fittings to 15-20 Nm (11-14 ft. lbs.).
