Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
Crankshaft Front Seal
Removal
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley. For additional information, refer to Crankshaft Pulley See: Cylinder Block Assembly/Harmonic Balancer -
Crankshaft Pulley/Service and Repair.
2. Using the Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Remover, remove and discard the crankshaft front seal.
Installation
1. NOTE: Lubricate the new front seal with clean engine oil.
Using the Front Cover Aligner and the Crankshaft Vibration Damper Installer, install a new crankshaft front seal.
