Pinpoint Test H: The Stoplamps Are On Continuously
Refer to wiring Diagram Set 90, Turn Signal/Stop/Hazard Lamps for schematic and connector information. See: Diagrams/Electrical
Diagrams/Diagrams By Number
Normal Operation
When the brake pedal is applied, the voltage is routed to the high mounted stoplamp and the multifunction switch through circuit CCB08 (VT/WH). The
multifunction switch then routes the voltage to the LH rear lamp through circuit CLS35 (VT) and the RH rear lamp through circuit CLS36 (YE). Voltage
to the LH and RH rear lamps also routes through the Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 42 (7.5A) to circuit CAT06 (YE) and fuse 38 (7.5A) to circuit
CAT09 (GN) for the trailer tow lamps.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
-
Wiring, terminals or connectors
-
Stoplamp switch
-
Multifunction switch
