Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Service and Repair

Solenoids - Shift, Torque Converter Clutch, Electronic Pressure Control
Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the transmission fluid pan and filter. For additional information, refer to Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter See: Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Fluid Filter - A/T/Service and Repair/Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter.
3. NOTE: Main control assembly does not need to be removed for solenoid service.
Remove wire loom guide and protector.

Carefully lift up on wire loom guide and protector and disengage the retaining pins from the solenoid clamps.
4. Disconnect the appropriate solenoid electrical connector.
1. Disconnect the electrical connectors from Shift Solenoid A (SSA), Shift Solenoid B (SSB), Shift Solenoid C (SSC) and Shift Solenoid D
(SSD).
2. Disconnect the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid electrical connector.
