5. Remove the screws and the TR sensor.
6. Remove the transmission fluid pan and transmission fluid filter. For additional information, refer to Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter See: Fluid Filter -

7. Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring.
1. Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring screw.
2. Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring.
8. NOTICE: Do not damage the valve inner lever pin.
Remove the manual valve inner lever nut.
9. Separate the manual valve inner lever and the parking lever actuating rod.
10. NOTICE: Do not damage the case fluid pan rail.
Remove the manual control lever shaft spring pin.

Tap lightly on each side of the manual control lever shaft spring pin with a drift punch.

Pry the spring pin out of its bore.
