Facia - Instrument Panel - Remove And Install (33 213 0)

Scorpio 1995 (10/1994-06/1998)

Removal and Installation

Remove

1. Remove the multifunction switches (refer to Operation Number 33 612 0).

2. Detach the driver's side lower crash pad/facia panel (five screws).

NOTE:

There is no need to disconnect the hood release cable.

3. Detach the driver's side lower crash pad/facia panel (continued).

• Disconnect the trip computer switch multiplug (if fitted).

• Detach the data link connector and lower the panel.

4. Remove the radio receiver/cassette player (refer to Operation Number 38 222 0).

5. Remove the heater control knobs.

Low ‐ series vehicles

6. Remove the two screws securing the heater control bezel.

CAUTION:

Only prise out the bezel from the air distribution control switch side of the bezel to prevent breakage of the locating tang at the opposite side.

7. Prise out the heater control bezel.

Use a pad between the screwdriver and the surround to prevent damage.

8. Remove the heater control bezel from the instrument panel facia.

1. Pull out from the bezel.

2. Slide to one side to disengage the locating tang.

9. Disconnect the multiplug and remove the heater control bezel.

All vehicles

10. Detach the instrument panel facia (six screws).

11. Disconnect the clock multiplug.

Ease the instrument panel facia forwards to disconnect the multiplug.

High ‐ series vehicles

12. Disconnect the heater blower motor switch assembly multiplug.

1. Release the multiplug retaining clips.

2. Disconnect the multiplug.

All vehicles

13. Disconnect the multiplugs and remove the instrument panel facia.

1. Light switch.

2. Headlamp levelling switch (if fitted).

3. Bezel Illumination.

• Disconnect the multiplugs to the heated windscreen and rear window (if fitted).

Install

14. Refit the components in reverse order.
