Description and Operation Front axle The front suspension features the same McPherson strut layout as the Ka. The track has been increased by 22 mm. . The diameter of the stabiliser bar has been increased from 15 to 17 mm. The shock absorbers have been modified. The spring damping rate has been increased from 16 to 18 N/mm². The springs have been shortened (the centre of gravity of the vehicle has been lowered by 30 mm). The ball joint of the lower suspension arm has been moved outwards by 5 mm. An additional lower suspension arm provides even more ride stability. Each of the suspension struts has a mounting for attachment of the brake hose, as a result of which the left and right-hand suspension struts are not interchangeable. |
