Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Unscrew the knob from the gear lever.
  1. Pull the outer gaiter and frame off the center console.

  1. Remove the inner gaiter.

  1. Remove the gear lever.
    1. Press the mounting sleeve locking lug inwards out of the housing cover using a screwdriver.
    1. Disengage the other locking lug in the same way and withdraw the gear lever.

Installation
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the gear lever is seated correctly in the shift rod.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:The mounting sleeve locking lugs must engage in the housing cover.
    Install the gear lever and mounting sleeve.

    1. Shift rod

  1. Fit the inner gaiter.

  1. Fit the outer gaiter and frame in the center console.
  1. Screw the knob onto the gear lever.
