Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The cover and pad are of one-piece construction on this vehicle and are treated as a single item.
    Remove the front seat.
    For additional information, refer to Front Seat - in this section.

  1. Remove the head restraint.

  1. Remove the head restraint tubes (two tubes each side).

  1. Prise off the tilt and slide lever.

  1. Prise off the tilt and slide trim cover.

  1. Prise out the adjuster knob centre cap.

  1. Remove the adjuster knob.
    • Using a screwdriver, release the spring retainer.

  1. Prise out the retaining clips and remove the plastic seat back (two clips).

  1. Remove the clips at the base of the backrest (two clips).

  1. Detach the springs from the backrest pad (eight springs).

  1. Remove the backrest cover and pad assembly (10 grips).
    • Bend back the grips and detach the cover.
    • Remove the cover and pad assembly.

Installation

  1. Refit the components in reverse order.
