The convertible top on the Streetka is based on conventional technology with linkages and an outer cover made of fabric.
The plastic rear window is joined to the material of the outer cover using a zip. It can only be removed when the convertible top is taught.
The plastic rear window folds down at a right-angle to the direction of vehicle travel when the roof is opened. Once the convertible top is lowered it is not possible to check nor correct the position of the rear window. The fabric roof must be dry and clean before it is carefully lowered.

Operation
The convertible top is lowered into a separate convertible top compartment behind the seats and in front of the luggage compartment.
The manual convertible top mechanism can be easily operated by one person and allows the convertible top to be opened or closed in about 30 seconds.
A gas filled strut makes it easier to open the convertible top compartment. No special device is needed to secure the convertible top in the open position.

Adjustment
Basic adjustment of the convertible top is carried out at the factory. In this process the specified gap (measurement A) and the minimum difference in height to be adhered to between the top edge of the windshield frame and the top edge of the convertible top (measurement B) is established. This base setting must not be altered in service.
If the convertible top needs to be changed or the mechanism needs to be repaired, the convertible top can be adjusted or reset in some places.
NOTE:More detailed information about adjusting the convertible top will be published later in the Student Information booklet "Accident Damage Repairs".
