The liftgate ajar warning lamp may not come on when the liftgate latch is in the secondary position. This may be caused by the upper plate of the latch
being too close to the actuating bolt in the switch mounting area. To correct this, rework the latch using the following procedure.
1.
Open the liftgate and turn the ignition key to the "On" position.
