Air Door Actuator / Motor: Service and Repair
Blend Door Motor

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Loosen the instrument panel and pull it back from the cowl.
3. Remove the blend door actuator electrical connector from the bracket on the evaporator case.

4. Remove the three actuator retaining screws.
5. Lift the actuator vertically for a distance of approximately 12 mm (1/2 inch) to disengage it from the bracket and the blend door shaft, then, pull

the actuator back toward the passenger compartment.

NOTE:  The mounting bracket remains in place on the evaporator case.

INSTALLATION

1. Insert the blend door actuator horizontally over the actuator bracket on the evaporator case.
2. Insert the actuator shaft into the blend door. (Manually moving the door will help engage the shaft.)
3. Attach the actuator bracket with the three retaining screws.
4. Attach the actuator electrical connector to the bracket on the evaporator case.
5. Install the instrument panel.
