1.
Disconnect wheel sensor electrical connector, located in engine compartment.
2.
When removing right side sensor, remove plastic push studs and loosen front of splash shield, Figs. 151 and 152.
3.
When removing left side sensor, remove plastic push studs and loosen rear of splash shield.
4.
Thread sensor wire through holes in fender apron. On right front sensor, remove retaining clips behind splash shield.
5.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
6.
Disconnect sensor wire grommets at height sensor bracket, and from retainer clip on shock strut.
7.
Loosen screw securing sensor, then remove sensor assembly from front knuckle.
8.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque sensor attaching screw to 40 inch lbs.
Rear
REMOVAL
1.
Remove rear seat and seat back insulation.
2.
Disconnect sensor from harness, then tie one end of string or wire to sensor connector and tie other end to rear seat sheet metal bracket.
3.
Push sensor wire grommet and connector through floorpan drawing string or wire with sensor connector.
