For Taurus X, measure the resistance between the LH rear lamp C498-8, circuit GD147 (BK/VT), harness side and ground; or between the RH
rear lamp C499-8, circuit GD148 (BK/YE), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
For Taurus, REPAIR or INSTALL a new rear lamp jumper harness. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
For Taurus X, GO to J10.
No
REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

J10 CHECK THE REAR LAMP JUMPER HARNESS FOR AN OPEN (TAURUS X)

Inspect the rear lamp jumper harness for opens.
-
Is the rear lamp jumper harness OK?
Yes
INSTALL a new LED module. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR or INSTALL a new rear lamp jumper harness. TEST the system for normal operation.

J11 CHECK THE SJB STOPLAMP OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Disconnect: SJB C2280d.

For Taurus, measure the resistance between the LH rear lamp C414-5, circuit CLS18 (GY/BN), harness side and the SJB C2280d-25, circuit
CLS18 (GY/BN), harness side; or between the RH rear lamp C417-5, circuit CLS19 (VT/OG), harness side and the SJB C2280d-26, circuit
CLS19 (VT/OG), harness side.

For Taurus X, measure the resistance between the LH rear lamp C498-2, circuit CLS18 (GY/BN), harness side and the SJB C2280d-25, circuit
CLS18 (GY/BN), harness side; or between the RH rear lamp C499-2, circuit CLS19 (VT/OG), harness side and the SJB C2280d-26, circuit
CLS19 (VT/OG), harness side.
