Steering Control Module: Service and Repair

Steering Effort Control Module (SECM)

Removal and Installation

NOTE: The right side lower instrument panel cover has been removed for clarity. The Steering Effort Control Module (SECM) is located on a bracket
behind the carpet between the firewall and right side kick panel.

1. Position the carpet aside.

2. Disconnect the 2 Steering Effort Control Module (SECM) electrical connectors.

3. Remove the 2 nuts and the SECM.

To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
