Never probe the electrical connectors on air bag, safety canopy or side air curtain modules. Failure to follow this instruction may result in the
accidental deployment of these modules, which increases the risk of serious personal injury or death.

injury or death.
NOTE:

The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the restraints control module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON. This is normal
operation and does not indicate a supplemental restraint system (SRS) fault.

The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.

Repair is made by installing a new part only. If the new part does not correct the condition, install the original part and carry out the diagnostic
procedure again.
1. CAUTION: Use care when handling the seat and track assembly. Dropping the assembly or sitting on a seat not secured in the vehicle
may result in damaged components.
Remove the seat and depower the SRS.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector and detach the wiring harness pin-type retainer.
3. Remove the safety belt buckle pretensioner nut.

To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
4. NOTE: The anti-rotation tab must be correctly aligned for correct installation.
Remove the safety belt buckle pretensioner.

Route the wiring harness from the seat track and cushion frame.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
6. Install the seat and repower the SRS.
7. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
