Heater/Air Conditioner - Foreign Objects Enter Plenum

Some foreign objects may be blown into the heater or A/C plenum chamber. To prevent this condition from recurring, a protective screen should be
placed over the outside air intake opening (cowl grille). Screen should be obtained locally.

1.

Remove right end of the hood-on-cowl pad from the dash panel extension (Figure 2).

2.

Remove six (6) clips retaining the right cowl top deflector to the cowl and dash panel extension (Figure 2) and remove the deflector.
