To service concerns of weatherstrip seal tearing it is necessary to replace the secondary weatherstrip seal with a new service part made of rubber.
Follow the Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement procedure outlined in the Body and Electrical Shop Manual for the appropriate model vehicle.
