Hard starting or poor performance in cold and snowy weather may be caused by a build up of snow or ice in the air cleaner plenum tray. A loop from the
car heater can be installed in the tray to correct this condition.

Position the air cleaner upper tray cover out of the way and remove the element.

In the air cleaner tray, drill a 15/64" hole in the location shown in Figure 14 for the retaining clip.
