OUTER JOINT

Different bearing cages are used on the outer joints. One type contains four equal sized windows and two elongated windows while the other type
contains six windows of equal size, Fig. 21.

Position stub shaft in suitable vise with bearing facing upward.

Press downward on inner race until bearing can be removed, Fig. 22. Remove all six bearings in this manner.
