Band Apply Servo: Component Tests and General Diagnostics
INSPECT
NOTE: Perform procedure only if one the following components is being replaced during assembly of the transaxle: transaxle case, band assembly,
drum and sun gear assembly, servo piston rod, servo piston, and band anchor strut.
1. Clean and assemble servo piston.
NOTE: Do not install seals.
Servo Installer
2. Install Servo Replacement Tool No. T81P-70027-A or equivalent on piston rod and position piston in case.
Servo Piston Selection Tool Installation
3. Install Servo Piston Selection Tool No. T81P-70023-A or equivalent and secure in case using servo cover snap ring. Tighten gauge disc screw to
13.5 Nm (10 ft lbs).
