Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLE 

Exploded View Of Oil Pump

NOTE:  Refer to the Exploded View Of Oil Pump image when performing this procedure.

1. Remove No. 12 selective steel/bronze type thrust washer, if equipped.
2. Remove seal rings from clutch support and pump-to-case seal.
3. Remove five clutch support-to-body attaching bolts, then clutch support from pump body.
4. Remove insert from pump drive gear, pump driven gear, and drive gear.

ASSEMBLE 

1. Install drive gear, driven gear, and pump drive insert.
2. Position clutch support on pump body and install five support-to-pump body attaching bolts, torque attaching bolts.
3. Install a new pump body-to-case seal.
