Remove the sliding door latch remote control. For additional information, refer to Sliding Door Latch in this section. | 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 2 - Exterior sliding door handle trim retaining screw 5 - Exterior sliding door handle seals 6 - Exterior sliding door handle bracket retaining nut 7 - Exterior sliding door handle bracket 3. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Removal Details Item 1 : Sliding door exterior door handle cable to sliding door latch | | -
Detach the sliding door exterior door handle cable. - Detach the sliding door exterior handle inner cable from the sliding door lock latch.
- Release the sliding door exterior handle cable retaining tangs and detach the sliding door exterior handle cable.

Remove the exterior sliding door handle. - Slide the exterior sliding door handle towards the front of the vehicle to disengage it from the exterior sliding door handle bracket.
- Remove the exterior sliding door handle.
| Installation Details Item 4 : Exterior sliding door handle NOTE:Make sure the exterior front door handle is engaged with the exterior front door handle return lever. | | -
Install the exterior sliding door handle. - Push the exterior sliding door handle return lever forward.
- Slide the exterior sliding door handle across the exterior sliding door handle return lever.

The sliding door exterior door handle must be in its rest position before the exterior door handle inner cable retaining clip is secured. | |
