Removal and Installation
Removal
All vehicles
Evacuate the refrigeration system. For additional information, refer to Section
412-00 Climate Control System - General Information
.
Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Section
303-05 Accessory Drive
.
Vehicles with 2.4L diesel engine
Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section
100-02 Jacking and Lifting
.
All vehicles
Disconnect the clutch connector.
CAUTION:
Support the refrigeration system compressor before removing the bolts and secure it to prevent loading of the refrigerant lines.
Detach the refrigeration system compressor from the mounting bracket.
CAUTION:
Seal off the refrigerant lines and the refrigeration system compressor to prevent dirt ingress.
Detach the refrigerant lines and remove the refrigeration system compressor.
Discard the O-rings.
Installation
NOTE:
Install new refrigerant line O-rings.
NOTE:
Coat the refrigerant line O-rings with clean refrigerant oil prior to installation.
Install the components in the reverse order.
